No, your other left

I hate trying to figure out which piece of jewelry in the case a customer wants me to get out for them. It usually goes something like this:

Customer: “Can you show me those earrings right there? No, the other ones; no to the left of those ones; no no, go back up, turn your hand the other way; no, they’re the ones right there, that your fingers are next to. No, it’s the little ones there, back up and over one more…”

This may go on for several minutes, as I try to use their vague directions to pick a pair of earrings out of the fifty sitting next to each other in the case. (“No, the ones with the silver on them…”)
